The NYC Bismark Sea Start Line has moved! (Just a bit)

After more discussion than the topic probably deserved, NYC today moved the Bismark Sea Start Line (slightly). It’s a small change and you might not notice the difference. However the new location should reduce traffic jams and tacking collisions when several boats are racing. In case you keep track of this stuff,

The OLD locations of the line buoys: RED: 193, 108  GREEN: 193, 147

The NEW locations of the line buoys: RED: 173, 151  GREEN: 173, 195

Speaking of Start Lines….

Yuukie Onmura just set up a very nice, short Hotlaps Course  on Mandhari Island. The line uses the SLSF Group tag. Go take a look!

Speaking of MORE start lines…

The Sunday Big-Boat Races two days ago attracted a sizable race fleet and many spectators. Actually, as you’ll see from the discussion on the SLSF Forum, it looks like NYC nearly melted the sim (oops!).

Although the races were pretty marvelous after a few minutes when things settled down, NYC’s decided to make a number of adjustments this week to accommodate the increasing size of the Big-Boat fleet. One of those changes is a new, second start line in the Coral Sea Sim. That’s Svar Beckersted and Armchair Binder in the distance setting it up:
