After discussion and debate on ORG Mothgirl has decided to adopt the Tako ID system for the Flying Fizz. I have removed the Flying Fizz style ID registry from these pages. The discussion can be found here. -MTW

hmmm
i launch the windsurfer tomorrow and had adopted the FF code as it was perfect for the boards needs and design
now i am in a pickle - either i need the raw mast head code of the tako ASAP or i launch with a 3 digit masthead system that is all ready to go - seems like a new registry is gonna happen if i dont resolve this - more than a little stressed :\

i have added this to another notecard entitled - IMPORTANT ID NUMBERS ISSUE PLEASE READ
Race ID
~~~~~~
Since the Main Notecard was written there have been changes in the ID system - i had recommended the Flying Fizz Registry be used as it had a simplified 3 digit numbering system
However this has since been scrapped so it is suggested that you use the 2 digits of your Flying Tako in the sail number boxes when racing until this issue is resolved this will cover up to 99 sailors in one race which no sim could handle anyways
a zero maybe added in front of the numbers for boats with similar numbers
this is the best solution to my problem
One of my m0re famous quotes in my first incarnation in the 19th Century was:
Don’t pick up a golf ball while it’s still rolling.
I think that all things in the Flying Fizz are “still rolling” as it were.
