The Launch Video

Jacqueline Trudeau launched the Tradewind brigantine today in Trudeau Cay before an audience of more than a hundred residents filling two sims and overflowing into a third. Here is the first of two videos covering the event. Crank up the volume for best effect. Your comments are appreciated.

    hehehe your video made it exciting Mark although at one point i did think there was a War of the Worlds Invasion at the end - see sound effect clip LOL ;)

    Yup. All the sounds in the video were generated by the crowd. The champagne botttle breaking, the ship’s horns, the clapping, even the evil War of the Worlds affect at the end. War of the Worlds or not, once I was in the fog in my boat when a large vessel on my radar suddenly became a large vessel in my face. I SWEAR that’s what his horn sounded like.

    Bravo!! - The champagne bottle breaking, the cheers of the crowd, the splash of the cool waters. I was smelling the brightwork drying as she entered the water. The seven coats of varnish glistening in the sun.

    Congrats to everyone involved in the launching. It was truly an exciting moment and something I’m glad I witnessed. The ships a thing of beauty too. Well done Jacqueline!

    I had my sound turned down for the event - there were too many distractions for my little brain to handle already :) I have no idea who brought the horns - but that is kinda cool hearing it now.

    Thanks to everyone who hung around for that comically slow launch. It was designed and timed during practive runs to take about 15 seconds - I think Tradewind is *is* still sliding down the ways. That’s the difference between a void sim with 2 avies and one with 50!

    Jacq/inda… since you have the scripts, maybe you could leave them in loop for a few days… or weeks? I think it would be nice for those who wasnt there and something cool to the sales too. :-) Many congrats again!! (and even also for the big discount at launch! :-)
