Mowry Hosts Season Starter

March 9th, 2008 · No Comments

Mowry Bay Yacht Club will kick off the sailing season this Spring by hosting the”Opening Day of Yachting Season” on March 22.

According to MBYC’s Resident Janitor Saxxon Domela, the celebration is designed as a fun event that brings together sailors from the many clubs across SL. It will include a Boat Parade, a regatta, and a dance party!

Speaking of Mowry, I just learned that Julia Ceres, Orca Flotta, and Tory Micheline are the new Race Directors there, and they have lots of exciting news. The Lindens have placed two additional buoys, greatly expanding the race course options. These buoys are located at Elderidge 180,200 and Leipzig 40,40.

There are several new race courses already designed; my favorite is the unique Channel Course:

If you want to see all the new changes at Mowry, stop by any Wednesday evening for the fleet races!
