New Rules for Saturday March 15

March 13th, 2008 · No Comments

We have tweaked the Passages Rules and Regulations. The new rules can be found on the Rules and Regulation Page under the Passages section of this web site, here.

The main changes are:

1. The East option requires the addition of Start to South Rock before a captain heads for East Rock. The West option is unchanged and does NOT require a trip to South Rock as the first leg.

2. ISF Rules 10 (starboard rights), 11 (leeward rights), 13 (No rights when tacking), an 18 (Rounding marks and obstructions) are protestable.

3. Knotlaps now includes single leg options: West Rock Knotlap, East Rock Knotlap and South Rock Knotlap.

4. Starts will be staggered by 3 minutes across the entire start sequence.

There are two predefs contained in the Passages  windsetter ‘passages’ and ‘novar’. Use the first one for normal runs with wind angle variation. Use ‘novar’ if you want to to a knotlap with no wind dir variation.
