Les GLENANS Raises Sail

March 15th, 2008 · No Comments

One of the most remarkable things about SLSailing is the large, talented, and extremely diverse community we share. I suspect that’s an important reason why most of us stay in SL Sailing, race after race, month after month. We feel enriched by the large number of world-wide friendships and resources that are so full of humor, intelligence and opinion.

This week the SLSailing community grew again, as Bea Woodget launched a new SL group, Les Glénans, for French speaking sailors. Les Glénans is named after the world famous French club that began in Brittany but now teaches sailing in many spots across Europe and the UK.

Les GLENANS

Bea kicked off Les Glénans yesterday with a slide presentation at SYC in front of a large, enthusiastic Francophone crowd. I’d give you more details about that talk and about Bea’s plans for the group… but I have a better idea! Bea will tell you herself!

I’m really excited to announce that Bea Woodget has agreed to author a new section here at SLSAILING.COM that will focus on events and activities across all the clubs for our French-speaking sailors.

Woot! Thank you Bea, and Go Les Glénans !!!
