The weather for sailing hasn’t cooperated very well these past two weeks, but the Fizz fleet’s been out there nonetheless, fiercely competing in the World Cup 2008 qualification rounds.
After five rounds, Masahisa Greenwood’s pulled ahead of the fleet, with Yuu Nakamichi just astern. Here’s the full skipper ranking after the conclusion of Saturday’s competition at NYC:
Masahisa Greenwood- Yuu Nakamichi
- Liv Leigh
- Max Starostin
- Toru Bracken
- Heidi Stiglitz
- Kei Cioc
- Hypathia Rieko
- Julia Ceres
- Kentrock Messmer
- Takeshi Schnyder
- Odysseus Yiyuan
Round Six takes place today (Sunday May 11) in Boogdolt!
Don’t miss it!

Round 5 has been a very rough race. The high wind speed variation on the long B1c course resulted in some surprising results.
Board leader Yuu Nakamichi not getting near the times of Toru Bracken and Heidi Stiglitz, who did an excellent job. Me quitting the race with an headache after race nr.2 of 4. And lots of capsizes, of both new and experienced skippers. I recall one race in which all 4 boats capsized before even making it to the first mark…
