We  have noticed that pre-start strategy has entered the Tako Cup scene. This is a good thing. However for those of you that are not comforable doing quick boat edits before the clock starts we suggest that you ask your race director to implement a “Match Race Start Protocol”. In this protocol boats shall alternate starting from the starboard end of the start area. When you raise sails to start the 2:00 countdown the starboard boat shall be in the starboard start area outside of an imaginary box defined by two perpendicular lines extending from the start markers.
